What is the appropriate age to start dancing? Right after a child starts walking I guess. But how is it possible that some kids get so good at such a young age…
… per example at 4 years:
… or even sooner, at only 3 years!!!

Hehe… it might work, don’t you think 😉
In reality this is just one show that I really really like and wanted to share. First, it’s a great choice of music and second, it’s a pleasure for the eyes. The choreography is rich, but you can tell it’s a little ballroom-like. I’m sure they did some of that in the past and I applaud them for that. It gives a special touch to their dancing and turns a regular bachata into a really good-loking one. 🙂
Just skip the one minute italian introduction of the couple and enjoy their dancing:

Amaaaazing performance on Dancing with the stars. Hearing that Travis Wall did the choreography and that the cast of dancers consist of Danny, Nick and Travis itself – wow! The music and routine is fabulous fusion of classical music and hiphop, seasoned with contemporary dancing, b-boying and ballet. Yes, you can see it more than once. 🙂 I love it! Congrats to Travis!!
Side note: I officially became addicted to “Dancing with the stars as well”.

After seeing 20-so salsa shows, you get a feeling, you’ve seen it all. They are pretty much the same, some solo footwork on piano notes, some crazy spins, a drop or two and to stand out, you should do some acrobatics. When the era of latin jazz shows started I was releived, because that was what I call dancing and interpreting music. But when I saw this clip I thought, ok, there is hope for classical salsa-music-shows as well! Wow, wow, wow Magna and Anderson! I am impressed! There are some never seen tricks, different approach to a salsa show, GREAT usage of the floor, not to mention the timings, synchronisation… And I kinda doubt that they’ve practiced this for a year… 😉

Which no longer really surprises us, does it… 🙂 Lately I’m a huge fan of shows made on classical music, so Kazina with choreographer Željko Božić, played on my strings. I love the movement in this choreography, which beautifully and seamlessly stresses certain moments (per example Andreja’s and Miha’s story, which blended in beautifully, yet portrayed a completely individual story; and the shadowed character in the middle of the routine). The whole routine is what it is suppose to be – a play without words.
I’m gonna see it again now… Join me: 🙂

Good salsa shows are multiplying and I like that. I love to see trained dancers do salsa. It’s different and it’s better. I can’t say I’m a fan of this zouk genre or zouk lambada. In this show the head rolling seems a bit too much in my opinion, plus it makes my head spin just watching it. I’m not a fan of zouk’s torso spinning and turning either. I don’t know why exactly, but it doesn’t look natural to me and it doesn’t make any sence. But regardless, this is a good show performed by Kadu & Larissa at the 2009 Sexy & Sensual Latin Dance Festival.

The LXD (the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers) electrify the TED2010 stage with an emerging global street-dance culture, revved up by the Internet. In a preview of Jon Chu’s upcoming Web series, this astonishing troupe show off their superpowers.
The world is chaotically ordered. The fusion of contemporary dance genre and classical music is so different it works perfectly together. The world of today is owned, ruled and reigned by mechanism, precision, kids and kings. Everybody owns an avatar and we live another life aside the real one, we even like that one better.
I don’t know, I got chills watching this performance. To me it’s story-telling. It shows us, where we are going. It fights our battles. It’s a mirror reception of us – of what we want to be, but can’t organize it well. And of course we just like to step back and watch it. Yeah, we’re big brothers, reality show lovers, paparazzis of modern age.
I love The LXD.. it’s real… it’s surreal… regarding stories and dancing perormance…
